Silhouettes are unique pictures. You can even try taking silhouette photography using the sunset environment, or another beautiful setting. A silhouette will appear if the background is a lot brighter than the subject. To create a perfect silhouette, you can either use a off camera flash in back of the subject or the subject can be placed by a window that is bright. However, it's important to remember that unfavorable features may be emphasized in the outline of someone's body or face.
There are no big secrets to becoming a great photographer. Keep shooting and get more experience. You don't need to feel you have to preserve every photo you take, especially with digital cameras being so prolific.
