Evaluating the Different Ways to Helmet-mount an Action Camera

Extreme sports cameras can mount in a number of ways to bicycles, helmets, and many types of sporting tubes. A good sports camera includes several mounting options, including properly placed screw holes and cable-tie brackets. Some of the different options for mounting a helmet camera are going to be discussed in this post.

The adhesive mount is one way to attach an extreme sports camera to a helmet. This way works good for smooth, flat surfaces, such as a helmet. Other ways to mount to helmets usually include adhesive Velcro, screws (not a good idea), or straps that attach goggles. Attaching the camera mounts directly on the helmet by having an adhesive strip is advisable mainly because it provides a sure grip, but isn't as permanent as when using screws.
